Paul Pfannenstiel: President
Paul graduated from Kansas State University in 1987 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. After a brief stint as an industrial engineer for JC Penney’s, Paul went to work for Tempmaster Corporation in North Kansas City as the regional sales director for air distribution equipment and custom air handling units manufactured in Albany, MO. His career progressed from working at the factory level to work as a distributor of HVAC equipment, controls contractor, and design-build engineer for a major Midwest contractor before jumping into the ownership role. Paul and PM Contracting have multiple licenses which include but are not limited to: Heating and Ventilating Supervisor, Heating and Ventilating Contractor, Pipefitting Contractor, and Master Pipefitter.
Paul incorporated PM Contracting in 2004 with the mission to deliver a better product to owners and general contractors for their HVAC needs. He wanted PM Contracting to have the unique ability to offer complete design and installation services for the commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, and telecommunication markets.
In his spare time, Paul is very active in the handball and triathlon communities in Kansas City. He is the father of 3 children and resides in Overland Park, KS.
Tim Wiseman: Vice President
Tim Wiseman, Vice President of PM Contracting, has been in the HVAC industry for over fifteen years. He is currently a Project Manager, estimator, and supervises the piping division. He has worked as a union pipe fitter foreman for more than twelve years. Tim’s skill set includes fabrication, estimation, installation and training of apprentice and journeyman pipe fitters. He has specialized in new and remodel apartment, condominium, retirement complex and school district projects. Within those specialties, he is accomplished in chilled and hot water two and four pipe systems, condenser water loop and water source heat pump application and operation. Tim has built a reputation based on “old school values”, hard work, and dedication. His drive, strong work ethic, and commitment over the last five years has helped shape PM Contracting, Inc into the thriving mechanical contracting company it is today.
Tim loves include Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, traveling, sport fishing, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Kirt Lawrence, PM’s Service Manager, brings 25 years of experience to our team. Certified technical competence, ingenious troubleshooting, and undying dedication to customer success describes nearly any Service Manager, but it’s Kirt’s ability to instill these strengths in others that sets him apart. Always looking to preserve and improve our customers’ business, Kirt looks to the future for new technologies that enhance customers’ mechanical systems and bring future possible problems to attention before they arise.
Kevin Johnson, Project Manager, brings more than ten years of experience in the HVAC industry to PM Contracting. His main focus throughout the course of his career has been with the HVAC equipment manufacturing side of the business. He worked as an estimator, project manager and team leader at a leading HVAC equipment manufacturer in the Kansas City metro area. Kevin joined the company early in 2009 as a project manager and brought fresh ideas, skills and knowledge from his past experience to further the growth of PM Contracting.
Bob Miller, PM’s Sheet Metal Division Manager, has worked over forty years as a union sheet metal worker. Bob is talented in all realms of the sheet metal business such as fabrication and installation of HVAC systems and components. He is also a project estimator and has excelled as a project manager with PM Contracting. Bob’s hard work and the years of experience, the relationships, and knowledge of the sheet metal business are what make him an invaluable asset to the PM Contracting team.
Sean Shrimpton, PM’s Sheet Metal Field Superintendant, is currently a sheet metal foreman for PM Contracting. He has over 15 years in the sheet metal/HVAC industry. He has spent the past 10+ years in the industrial/commercial realm of the business. Sean has been a sheet metal foreman for the past eight years supervising his job sites. His abilities include but are not limited to design, fabrication and installation, and is EPA and Gastite certified.
